TechniBlend is seeking a motivated and customer-focused professional to join our Technical Service Group. In this role, you will deliver hands-on field support while also assisting with automation and control system needs. You'll work directly with customers, manage multiple projects, and travel to facilities to service and troubleshoot equipment, ensure proper system performance, and support new installations. This position requires a solid understanding of automation systems, PLCs, and HMIs, with the ability to apply that knowledge in real-world settings. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements, support the design and implementation of control strategies, and help integrate systems into customer operations. Along the way, you'll contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, maintain strong communication with customers, and help drive service success that improves satisfaction, retention, and overall profitability. Are you passionate about this work? * Program PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), HMIs (Human-Machine Interfaces), and other control devices using industry-standard programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, structured text). * Conduct testing and commissioning of control systems, ensuring functionality, reliability, and safety. * Support TechniBlend (OEM) equipment and systems at customer production facilities. * Diagnose and troubleshoot technical errors with equipment and determine proper * Remotely monitor the effectiveness and performance of equipment via remote access software and direct communication with customers. * Perform modifications, upgrades and routine maintenance to existing equipment to meet customer needs and requirements. * Perform trouble shooting of mechanical, controls, and instruments at fabrication shop or at customer site locations. * Stay updated on advancements in control systems, both independently and in collaboration with other engineering teams. * Work well with customers and fellow technical service and engineering personnel. * Provide training to the customer staff on equipment operation. * Produce timely, accurate and detailed service reports. * Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations and modifications as required. * Manage field service appointments and customer troubleshooting requests through Salesforce - Field Service Lightning. * Ability to manage travel and expenses through expense management software while following company policies. If this sounds like you, we want to connect! * Proven field service and technical service experience and aptitude * Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment * Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to changing work schedules * Willingness to travel up to 70% of the time (primarily domestic / USA) * Ability to work extended hours and weekends * Able to effectively organize, schedule, and carry out work assignments with minimal supervision * Hand-on experience with hardware/software integration and troubleshooting of control systems. * Read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams * Understanding of the safe operation of hand tools and power equipment * Effective communication skills, verbal as well as written * Well-developed skills in problem solving and troubleshooting * Broad technical knowledge of process and/or industrial automation * Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical and physical tasks * Ability to support customers during and after hours on a scheduled basis EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: * Associate's or technical degree in engineering or related field required * 3-5+ years of experience in installation, troubleshooting, and control systems engineering, preferably within the food & beverage processing industry. * Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and process systems used in production environments. * Hands-on experience with process equipment, hardware/software integration and troubleshooting of controls systems. * Proficiency in PLC programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar platforms), HMI development (Allen-Bradley, Ignition, or similar), and troubleshooting of control systems. * Experience with Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley systems strongly preferred. * Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Ethernet/IP, IO-Link, AS-i, etc. * Strong understanding of control system theory, including PID control, motion control, and feedback mechanisms. * Advanced problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. * Skilled in hardware/software integration and advanced problem-solving in fast-paced, dynamic environments. * Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Salesforce, and Syteline. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities.
