We are seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen of our hip, casual Japanese restaurant. This is an incredible opportunity to bring creativity, leadership, and passion for Japanese cuisine to a concept that is part of a highly successful hospitality group . You must be authorized to work in the USA and ideally already working in NYC. What You’ll Do Lead and inspire a team of ~15 BOH employees across locations. Oversee all kitchen operations, including menu execution, food quality, and cost control. Collaborate closely with the General Manager to ensure seamless service and an outstanding guest experience. Manage BOH scheduling — while consecutive days off are not guaranteed, you’ll have the flexibility to arrange your schedule as long as the kitchen is running smoothly. Foster a positive, professional culture that emphasizes consistency, teamwork, and growth. Uphold health, sanitation, and safety standards at the highest level. What We’re Looking For A passionate culinary leader with strong Japanese cuisine experience (yakitori, izakaya, ramen, sushi, etc.). Proven ability to manage, train, and mentor BOH staff in a high-volume NYC environment. Strong organizational skills with a focus on execution, consistency, and cost management. A collaborative spirit — able to work closely with FOH leadership and ownership. A creative mindset and excitement for contributing to the restaurant’s evolving vision. What We Offer Competitive Salary: $93K–$125K + Performance-Based Bonus
