Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client who is seeking an Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary of $80,000 to $100,000. Job Responsibilities: Prepare, review, and maintain accurate and timely financial records, including general ledger entries, adjustments, deferrals, and accruals.Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements, reports, and analysis.Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.Perform accurate and timely monthly sales commission calculations and accruals, and field questions from sales representatives and management.Monitor and analyze account and budget variances, identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement. Requirements: Have a strong background in manufacturing.Understand cost of goods sold.Manage financials effectively.Forecast financial outcomes accurately.Handle inventory management and cash flow efficiently. Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.5+ years of relevant and demonstrated hands-on accounting experience.Be an expert in accounting software such as QuickBooks (Desktop Enterprise Version) and .Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures (GAAP) and best business practices.Be proficient in advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook, with the ability to learn new skills.
