St. Philip Neri School, located in Linthicum, Maryland, is seeking an Instructional Assistant for our PreK program. The Instructional Assistant, PreK will provide support to teachers in a classroom setting. This support can include tasks such as grading assignments, preparing materials for class, and providing one-on-one assistance to students who may need additional help.Essential FunctionsCultivate a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.Prepare age-appropriate materials.Help organize and prepare resources for students.Help in integrating technology to effectively create a 21st-century learning environments within the classroom (ISTE Standards).Collaborating with other teachers, staff, students, and parents to support student progress.Responsible for the safety and active supervision of students at all times and for classroom management.Participate in all faculty meetings, retreats, school committees and in-service learning opportunities.Communicate professionally and in a timely manner with parents.Position QualificationsDegree in Elementary Education and/or 90-hour childcare certification preferred.Experience in a Catholic School setting preferred.Must be an active practicing Catholic.Range: $15.50 - $16.00, Hourly Benefits: Eligible for generous paid sick leave benefits with this position, and employee automatic enrollment in the 403(b) plan.
