Construction Project Manager Job Description A general contractor based in Denver is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have a strong experience in managing large-scale projects, with a deep understanding of construction regulations, safety standards, and building codes. Key skills include leadership, communication, multitasking, and proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office. The role demands managing contracts, budgets, documentation, subcontractors, and client relationships to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery. Responsibilities + Manage contracts and project documentation. + Oversee project budgets and financial management, including converting estimates to job budgets and creating purchasing schedules or buyout logs. + Track costs and forecast financial outcomes throughout the project. + Develop and maintain relationships with project owners to foster new project opportunities. + Ensure subcontractor compliance with master agreements and associated work orders. + Work closely with project engineers to solicit bids in compliance with the buyout plan. + Negotiate subcontractor change orders and ensure back charges are tracked and executed. + Track owner delays and reimbursable schedule impacts. + Ensure project documentation is maintained according to procedures. + Compile monthly project billings and manage cost control. Essential Skills + Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction project management. + Experience managing multifamily projects valued at $10M+. + Strong knowledge of construction industry regulations, building codes, and safety requirements. + Proficiency in Procore and Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent communication, leadership, and negotiation skills. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. + Willingness to travel to job sites and sit on project sites. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Proven experience in construction financial management. + Willingness to continually establish and improve company business procedures. + Experience with subcontract management and owner management. The initial project will be a $13 million townhome development in Arvada, where the Project Manager will be based on site. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $67.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
