Mechanical Engineer

Job Description Join our dynamic team working on the innovative programs. Our small team size offers you the chance to be involved in the design, integration, and testing of booster rockets, providing a well-rounded experience. Responsibilities + Perform analysis, design, or testing of complex materials, structural components, or functional systems using advanced engineering software tools. + Study design concepts and adapt engineering principles to improve upon features from previous successful designs. + Provide high-quality customer service by seeking out and disseminating necessary information to meet customer needs. + Explore creative and innovative approaches to accomplish project outcomes. + Conduct complex engineering design, development, analysis, and test activities for assigned projects. + Develop and coordinate test programs to evaluate system elements, including materials and structural components. + Manage test activities and documentation of results. + Plan and execute engineering tasks required for project completion. + Engage with customer personnel on significant technical matters, often necessitating coordination across organizational lines. + Conduct research to support related engineering projects. + Represent the organization in project-related interactions. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Engineering with 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree with 3 years of experience. + Experience in missile, launch vehicle, booster, aerospace, or defense-related fields. + Proficiency in CAD and Siemens NX with a self-rating of 7/10 or higher. + Daily user of GD&T ASME Y14.5. + U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a secret clearance. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience working with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles. + Knowledge in using Siemens NX and similar engineering software tools. Work Environment The role is based in an office and engineering lab environment. The position follows a 9/80 schedule, which includes nine-hour workdays for eight days, allowing for a three-day weekend every other week. This schedule enhances work-life balance but requires longer workdays. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.67 - $52.88/hr.
