Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician Job Description As a Lab Technician, you will assist chemists by making routine batches following defined protocols and using routine equipment. You will prepare and perform routine and non-routine stability and compatibility tests and analyses using the appropriate technical equipment and instruments. Additionally, you will calculate test results, report and document results, some via a computer, and review them for accuracy. You will also create GHS Safety Data Sheet documentation for finished products, perform quality control, and calibrate equipment if necessary. Maintaining a clean laboratory, equipment, and lab apparatus, as well as practicing safe waste disposal, are also key aspects of this role. Essential Skills + Bachelor's degree in Chemistry. + Experience with quality control, chemistry, and laboratory procedures. + Knowledge of titrations, dilutions, and pipetting, including academic experience. + Understanding of lab SOPs and titration procedures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with PC, aerosol, or cosmetics in a lab setting. + Co-op experience in related fields is a plus. Work Environment The role is set in a laboratory environment where personal protective equipment (PPE) is required. The lab deals with a wide variety of products, including dry shampoos, makeup setting mists, pain relief foams, and more. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Branchburg, New Jersey. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
