Job Title: Phlebotomist Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Phlebotomist to join our team. This role involves performing blood draws and phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages, with a primary focus on adult and geriatric populations. The position serves both inpatient and outpatient settings, requiring accurate collection and processing of patient information and ensuring excellent customer service. Initially, the candidate will focus on phlebotomy tasks for the first two months, transitioning to a primary role in specimen processing post-rebranding. Responsibilities * Conduct blood draws and phlebotomy procedures on patients, primarily adults and geriatrics. * Serve both inpatient and outpatient populations. * Collect and process patient information accurately. * Provide excellent customer service to patients. * Ensure proper labeling and processing of blood samples. * Manage sample receiving, processing, and aliquoting. * Register samples and operate within a pneumatic tube system. * Handle work phones and receive couriers. * Support laboratory personnel, including Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) and Clinical Laboratory Assistants (CLAs). Essential Skills * Proficiency in phlebotomy and blood drawing techniques. * Strong customer service skills. * Experience with laboratory procedures and sample processing. * Knowledge of Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, particularly Cerner. * Attention to detail and ability to multi-task. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Certified Phlebotomist or Phlebotomy Technician. * Patient care focused with a positive attitude. * Eager to learn and expand skillset. * Eligible to complete career ladder after six months with potential for a 4% raise per title change. Work Environment This role is based at Banner McKee Medical Center, offering part-time employment with two overnight shift options: Wednesday to Thursday from 5:30pm to 6:00am, or Friday to Saturday from 5:30pm to 6:00am. The opportunity provides hands-on experience in both phlebotomy and specimen processing within a large network, allowing for professional growth and development. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Loveland, Colorado. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.43 - $23.51/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
