Utility Steward

Meriwether Godsey is looking for a Full-Time Utility Steward responsible for maintaining the sanitation of the kitchen, cafeteria, and dining room at a private, coeducational college-preparatory school in Holderness, New Hampshire.Must be available to work a 2pm-8 pm schedule$15-$16 per hour (Depending on experience) Great Customer Service Skills and Food Handling Experience PreferredWhat the Utility Steward will do: Set up and operate the dish machine for cleaning and sanitizing dishes, trays, silverware, glassware, pots, and pans: scrape, separate, and organize itemsNote and record dish-machine temperatures, reporting low temperatures or machine malfunctions immediatelyTransport related supplies and assist in the setup of dining and serving areasClean cafeteria areas throughout and after meal periods and replenish them to ensure service without interruptionSet up and use three - compartment sink for cleaning and sanitizing pots and pansMaintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and cafeteria areas, including sweeping, mopping floors, and removal of trashAssist with receiving and storage of food products and food preparation following correct food handling procedures to ensure food safetyPerform all duties by food safety and sanitation best practicesOther duties, as assignedWhat the Utility Steward will need: Prior dishwashing experience (1 year preferred)Strong work ethic in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility: the ability to switch between tasks and responsibilities as neededReliability and a willingness to work in a hot, humid environment Ability to stand/move about for long periods and lift 25 lbs.
