Primary Job Title:Senior Data Analyst- SAP Finance/GLAlternate/Related Job Titles:Data Migration AnalystFinance Data AnalystSAP Data AnalystBusiness Intelligence Data AnalystEnterprise Data Warehouse AnalystLocation:Hybrid — Boston/Springfield, MAOnsite Flexibility:Hybrid (regular onsite collaboration required)Contract Details:Position Type: ContractContract Duration: 12 monthsPay Rate:$75 - $80/HrShift/Hours: Core business hoursJob Summary:The Senior Data Analyst will support a large-scale SAP R/3 to S/4HANA migration within Finance, ensuring Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and Finance Data Mart alignment. This role requires strong hands-on data analysis, testing, and SAP finance expertise. Working in close collaboration with business partners, BI developers, and SAP stakeholders, the Senior Data Analyst will validate, test, and document data flows to ensure accuracy and compliance during migration. Key Responsibilities:Lead the creation and maintenance of EDW-to-SAP Finance data mapping documentation.Gather and clarify data transformation requirements with business and finance leads.Conduct data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation.Develop and execute unit, integration, and UAT testing plans.Collaborate with BI teams to validate reporting requirements and post-migration outputs.Partner with data engineers and architects on transformation rules and logic.Track, log, and resolve testing issues while maintaining documentation.Support SteerCo reporting with data readiness and issue updates.Assist project managers with RAID log management (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).Work collaboratively with global onshore/offshore teams to deliver milestones.Required Experience:6+ years of data analysis experience, ideally in finance or enterprise data systems.2+ years working with SAP finance modules (GL, AP/AR, FA, CO).Proficiency in SQL for data validation and reconciliation.Experience with data mapping, dictionaries, and transformation documentation.Proven track record writing/executing test plans (unit, integration, UAT).Hands-on use of Microsoft Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or SAP Analytics Cloud).Nice-to-Have Experience:Familiarity with Finance Accounting Transformation and finance data migration projects.Experience with financial reconciliation and audit readiness initiatives.Exposure to cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, AWS, or Azure.Knowledge of both Agile and waterfall project environments.Required Skills:Strong SQL and data validation expertiseSAP finance functional knowledgeTesting and reconciliation documentation experiencePreferred Skills:Cloud data platform familiarityAudit and compliance-focused data analysisBI tools and visualization proficiencyAdditional Skills:Experience supporting RAID log maintenanceStrong communication and cross-team collaboration skillsAbility to work onsite regularly with stakeholdersBenefits:Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans401k Retirement FundAbout the Client:A leading financial services company providing life insurance, retirement planning, annuities, and disability and long-term care insurance.
