Our associates are expert quality assurance professionals with broad experience and local knowledge who can represent our clients on-demand and on-site faster than our competitors.We're actively seeking a Quality Mechanical Inspector for an immediate opening in Hialeah, FL. This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension. The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify that inspection equipment is capable of detecting defects and ensure inspection methodology is in line with drawing intent Work within the Quality Management system and undergo basic training on policies and procedures Ability to read and understand drawings to pull the dimensions to create Inspection Test Plans (ITPs)Understanding of what inspection equipment and methodology would be needed to effectively measure/inspect different mechanical partsAbility to work in SAP to upload the ITPs for each part where one is createdRequired QualificationsPrevious mechanical inspection experienceKnowledge of GD&T and inspection methodologiesStrong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection plans and protocolsExperience with the use of precision measurement tools and equipmentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and/or engineering drawingsAbility to work effectively within a quality management systemPreferred QualificationsCertified or previously certified in GD&T ASME Y-14.5Experience with AS9102 (FAI)Experience with SAP or ERP systemExperience with Certification of ConformanceDiploma or GED from an accredited high school or technical school; college degree in engineeringKnowledge of mechanical contract manufacturing and LEAN manufacturing5 years of experience in the manufacturing industry, with 2 years as a Mechanical Inspector$30 - $32 an hourMileage reimbursement at the US gov't rate ($0.70 per mile driven).
