Phlebotomist

Job Summary:The Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting blood samples from patients for medical testing, blood donations, transfusions, or research purposes. This role involves performing venipuncture and other collection techniques accurately and with care across all patient age groups.Key Responsibilities:Draw blood from patients using venipuncture, finger sticks, or heel pricks.Collect blood samples safely and efficiently from patients of all ages.Label and prepare blood samples accurately to ensure proper identification and handling.Maintain cleanliness and safety standards during blood collection procedures.Ensure proper handling, storage, and transportation of blood specimens.Provide compassionate and professional care to patients during the blood collection process.Document procedures and maintain accurate records of blood collection activities.Required Qualifications:Proven experience in phlebotomy with proficiency in venipuncture techniques.Ability to work with patients across all age groups.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in labeling and documentation.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Knowledge of safety protocols and infection control practices.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in phlebotomy from an accredited institution.Experience in a clinical or laboratory setting.Certifications:Phlebotomy certification preferred but not mandatory.2 Phlebotomist needed 1 Full time- 8:30-5pm1 Part time- 2:15pm-6:15pm
