Maintenance TechnicianPosition: Direct HireSalary: $55,000-$65,000/annuallyLocation: South Orange, NJSchedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pmwith some evenings and weekends as neededPrideStaff is thrilled to partner with a nonprofit family services organization in South Orange to hire a Maintenance Technician who will be essential in maintaining the facility and its equipment in excellent condition!Job Summary:The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, and maintain production of all Company facilities and equipment according to safe and productive maintenance systems and processes.This Technician is responsible for staying abreast of current trends as they relate to the department and staying aligned with best practices. This Technician, under the direction of the Project Manager, is responsible for monitoring all repairs of the agency sites. The position is also responsible for assisting with the maintenance of all Company vehicles, including registration and insurance state compliance.Essential Functions• Responsible for maintenance (interior and exterior) of all Company properties• Assist in the evaluation of the need for renovations• Establish budgetary guidelines with the Director of Operations and the Project Manager for repairs and capital improvements• Obtain estimates for contracted work on Company property as required• Monitor all maintenance/repair projects progress through completion• Monitor status of all Company vehicles for agency and state requirements• Coordinate maintenance of all Company vehicles as required• Cooperate with the state agencies in any inspection or investigation• Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments• Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities.• Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.• Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.• Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.• Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.• Participate in the preparation and administration of the program budget; submit budget recommendations; monitor expenditures• Request cash as needed for weekly programming and resolve cash disbursements with the finance department• Monitor and track any expenditure on the supplied credit card and report all expenditures to the finance department.• Assist Project Manager with developing and maintaining metrics relative to service delivery and departmental performance• Other duties as assigned by the Executive OfficeEducation requirements:• High school diploma/GED and completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience.Work Experience Requirement• Experience with precision measuring instruments or electronic testing devices• Experience performing routine maintenance• Strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC a plusSkills/Abilities• Skilled in the use of hand and power tools• Ability to check blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary• Ability to use common tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, ad wrenches,• Strong organizational and follow up skills• Eye for detail• Professional presentation and attitude• Strong time management skillsSpecial Working Conditions/Physical/Requirements - Working Environment• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.• Must be available for coverage on some weekends and after 5pm when required.• Must hold a high school diploma• Valid New Jersey driver's license is required• Must hold CPR/First Aid Valid Certification• Successful clearance of NJ background check• Successful clearance of Drug Screening• Has fulfilled the necessary training requirements and is in good standing in order to bill Medicaid for Support and Community Care Waiver (CCW) Services and CDSCompensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 Per Year
