Delivery Driver - CDL A - Salisbury MD

Cloverland Dairy in Salisbury Maryland is looking for a Class A or Class B driver to deliver finished products to our customers, in a safe and timely manner. We are willing to work with newly acquired CDL holders, to help kick start their career in high gear! Location: 2100 Northwood Dr, Salisbury MD 21801 Pay * $18.64/hour Schedule * Evening/Overnight - Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday Responsibilities Daily Pre/Post trips on all vehicles assigned. Pick-up truck/tractor-trailer at start of shift and verify load. Deliver products in a safe and timely manner to each customer assigned while maintaining and following all DOT rules and regulations. Pick up and return all empty cases/pallets that were left from previous delivery from each customer. Must be able to lift, pull, and drag a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to use hand truck and/or power jack. Must provide good service and good customer relations. Must report all accidents, damages, complaints, or issues that may occur and is accountable for filling out all necessary reports. Must be able to use a hand-held device for making deliveries, must be able to make necessary adjustments to ensure accurate deliveries and accurate billing for our customers. Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal customers Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service Must have a Class A CDL and pass a DOT physical and pre-employment drug screen. Must have a clean driving record Driving experience - 1 year (preferred) Must be 21 years of age or older. Physical Requirements: Must be capable of getting into and out of tractor or straight trucks numerous times over shift to secure load bars or straps Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs on a frequent basis.
