Groundskeeper

The Groundskeeper is a key member of the course maintenance team and is responsible for the landscaping and maintenance around the golf course. Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements: * Must possess the ability design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course * Experience with operating greens/fairway mowers preferred * Must possess the ability to create spray programs for the golf course including greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and landscaping * Must possess the ability to operate all tools and equipment related to golf course operations * Ability to give oral and written instructions * Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation * Must be dependable Responsibilities: * Maintains clean and organized works areas on the golf course and maintenance facility * Mows greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas * Waters tees, greens and fairways; operates irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water * Repairs the irrigation system, pipes and irrigation heads as needed * Grades and prepares soil base, lays sod and seeds greens, tees and fairways * Trims and prunes hedges and shrubbery; cleans flower beds * Applies pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers to the golf course * Perform other duties assigned by supervisor or manager Compensation BOE.
