Game Day Operations Staff - Birmingham Squadron

Reports to: Business Operations Coordinator FMLA Status: Seasonal, Part Time, Non-exempt Application Deadline: Rolling Application Work Location: Legacy Arena, Birmingham, AL Position Summary: The Birmingham Squadron are seeking positive and outgoing part-time, seasonal game night staff members for the 2025-2026 G League basketball season who will assist with enhancing the Squadron game day experience as part of the Game Day Operations Staff. This is a part-time, seasonal position, based in Birmingham, AL at the Legacy Arena. What you will be doing: * Assist with game day setup and breakdown; including A-frame signs, tables, chairs, and other necessary equipment * Assist with preparation and execution of all elements of the Squadron game experience * Distribute G-League Fan Code of Conduct cards to required seating areas * Distribute door giveaways and promotional items to fans * Handle transactions and customer payments in the Squadron brick-and-mortar retail area What you'll bring: * This position is part time and will require late nights, weekends and open availability for a majority of the Birmingham Squadron home games and events * All game night staff members must be available 2.5 hours before the start of each home game and through one hour after the game concludes * Hardworking, upbeat, and positive attitude, as well as the ability to work well with others * Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) in order to build rapport with coworkers and our fans * Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and prioritize complex tasks * Maintain proper/professional decorum; personable and courteous at all times * Must be punctual, reliable, attentive to details, and exhibit sound judgment and discretion at all times Working Conditions: * Part-time, seasonal position, with nights, weekends, holidays and early mornings are required as needed, based on the Squadron game and event schedule * Position will be expected to walk, sit, or stand for duration of the shift * Position will be required to lift and stack items in excess of 20 lbs
