Staff Accountant

Seeking a Staff Accountant to work at our office in San Leandro.Experience in both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables is required. Starting pay is $30 to $40 per hour. Work is 100% in office. Submit your resume today!Minimum requirements:High school diploma or equivalent, accounting degree preferred.Previous accounting, AP and AR experience preferred.Positive attitude.Excellent communication, literacy, and numeracy skills. Ability to communicate clearly both written and orally is vital.Proficient in adding, subtracting and basic arithmetic, and have a working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles such as debits, credits, accruals, reconciling, MS Excel and Google Docs spreadsheets.Ability to function well as part of a team.High level of efficiency and attention to detail.Prophet 21, Quickbooks, Sage experience is a plus.Responsibilities:Accounting operations, including general ledger, AP, reconciliation and related compliance.Enforce accounting policies and procedures to maintain internal controls.Generate monthly, quarterly and yearly close processes, and provide financial reports and schedules.Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, P&L, and cash flow statements. Ensuring compliance with US GAAP and regulatory requirements.Receive, verify and record daily invoices from vendors in the database, and prepare batch submittal for payment.Reconcile corporate credit cards.Exceptional organization, analytical, problem solving, attention to detail and communications skills are important.Treat customers as well as team members in a kind and respectful manner.
