In addition, SCA provides jet-vac services to perform system maintenance cleaning and identify infrastructure issues before they occur. Job SummarySweeping Corporation of America (SCA) is hiring CDL A Drivers with an air brake endorsement. In this role, you will operate a tractor trailer end dump, use a front-loading backhoe and self-loading dump truck, and transport debris to landfills. You will provide load estimates, track weights, and communicate delivery times to ensure efficient operations. This is a steady, hands-on driving role with consistent hours, no overnight layovers, and the opportunity to be home daily while supporting projects across Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties. Position Highlights as a CDL A Driver: Site Location: 12524 Columbia Way, Downey, CA 90242 Start/End Location: Carson, CA Days: Monday through Friday, with some Saturdays from November to January Hours: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM Pay: $24 - $26 per hour, based on experience Key Responsibilities as a CDL A Driver: Operate a semi-truck and trailer (end dump) using a front-end bucket loader. Operate a front self-loading dump truck. Transport debris within Los Angeles, Orange, and San Bernardino counties. Track debris weight at each pickup location. Scale and log debris prior to disposal. Complete electronic pre- and post-trip Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs). Notify landfill of load estimates and delivery times. No overnight layovers required. Job Requirements of a CDL A Driver: CDL Class A license with air brake endorsement. Clean driving record. Valid DOT Medical Card. Ability to work outdoors in varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions. Exposure to noise, vibrations, fumes, grease, oil, and chemicals. Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs., carry, push, pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, reach, walk, and stand for extended periods. Ability to safely operate equipment and use required PPE. #SCACDL1
