Customized asset-based finance solutions for business aviation.Position SummaryWe are seeking a Director of Engineering-MTS (Lead Developer / Architect) to spearhead the design, development, and technical direction of Traxxall’s new platform. This individual will play a key role in shaping the architecture, ensuring the product is built with scalability, security, and performance in mind, and building a team of engineers to support the platform into the future. The role bridges hands-on development with strategic technical leadership.Duties and ResponsibilitiesArchitecture & Technical StrategyDefine and own the overall system architecture for the new Traxxall platform.Evaluate and select modern frameworks, languages, and cloud infrastructure to support scalability, performance, and security.Ensure best practices in design patterns, coding standards, and system integrations.Development LeadershipLead by example with hands-on coding and design contributions.Provide technical guidance to developers across backend, frontend, mobile, and integrations.Drive adoption of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and automated testing.Collaboration & CommunicationPartner with Product leadership to translate business requirements into technical solutions.Work closely with QA, analysts, and support teams to ensure seamless product delivery and ongoing reliability.Contribute to roadmap planning with realistic technical estimates and risk assessments.Team Growth & MentorshipRecruit and scale a strong development team over time.Mentor junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.Support & ReliabilityOversee production support and ensure high availability for mission-critical aviation systems.Proactively identify and resolve performance, security, and scalability issues.Desired Credentials10+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 3 in a lead or architect role.Deep expertise in modern web stacks (e.g., .NET / C#, React, MS SQL, or equivalent).Demonstrated experience in AI/ML technologies (such as natural language processing, predictive analytics, or intelligent automation) and in building tools that improve both internal efficiency and customer workflows.Strong understanding of cloud platforms (Azure or AWS), microservices, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).Proven experience designing enterprise SaaS systems with high reliability and security requirements.Solid grasp of DevOps principles, CI/CD, and automated testing frameworks.Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence technical direction.Aviation industry or regulated SaaS experience a plus, but not required.At JSSI, we are committed to rewarding our team members with competitive and comprehensive compensation packages that reflect their contributions and talent.For this role, the annual base pay generally ranges from $205,000 to $220,000, with the final offer determined by variable factors including but not limited to market location, job-specific knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
