OverviewA leading global architecture and engineering firm with over 100 years of legacy is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer or Washington DC for their Minneapolis office. This established firm specializes in transformative design across multiple sectors, with offices strategically located throughout the United States. Their portfolio encompasses federal, healthcare, aviation, education, and commercial projects, delivered through integrated architecture, engineering, and interior design services.This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex engineering projects with a focus on protective design and federal infrastructure.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership and Expertise CoordinationIdentify discipline-specific Subject Matter Experts across engineering studios, focusing on market and technical experienceCommunicate expertise findings to the National Director of Engineering, Global Practice Leaders, and Market Sector LeadersCollaborate with studio Operations Directors and National Director of Engineering on work sharing and recruiting coordinationBusiness Development and GrowthIdentify engineering business development opportunities across studios, including speaking engagements, publishing opportunities, client outreach, and project identificationCollaborate with the National Director of Engineering to set strategic goals for discipline growth and best practice advancementPerform marketing and business development activities, including building relationships with key clients and strategic partnersEngage in proposal writing, fee estimation, and client interviewsProject Management and Client RelationsAttend client meetings and communicate with clients, consultants, and contractors during various project stagesServe as the primary point of contact for assigned projectsAssist Project Managers with fee development for engineering portions of workTravel for marketing and project-related activities as requiredRequirements:Education and ExperienceABET-accredited degree in Engineering or Architectural EngineeringRegistered Professional Engineer certificationMinimum 6 years of licensed experience, including 5+ years of team managementTechnical SkillsDemonstrated practical knowledge of codes and related industry standardsProduction experience preparing deliverable drawing sets in Revit and AutoCADProficiency in industry-standard calculation softwarePersonal AttributesSelf-motivated team player with strong interpersonal, communication, writing, and presentation skillsAbility to manage competing priorities and effectively allocate timeCompensation & Benefits:Salary Range: $100,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experienceComprehensive Benefits Package:Affordable medical, dental, and vision plansRetirement savings with company matchingSupplemental benefits including:Accident and Critical Illness coverageHSA + FSA optionsCommuter BenefitsCompany-paid life insuranceShort-term and Long-term disability optionsParental LeaveThis position offers an exceptional opportunity to work on significant projects while advancing your career in a collaborative, professional environment.The studio operates on a flexible hybrid schedule with three days in their collaborative office environment and two days working remotely, offering an ideal balance between in-person collaboration and remote flexibility. #J-18808-Ljbffr
