Job Description

The Accounts Payable (A/P) Accountant under the supervision of the Financial Controller is primarily responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the agency's accounts payable functions. This position will provide support in audits and special projects as needed. Wu Yee prides itself on a close teamwork environment, we are looking for someone who is highly collaborative and isn't afraid to pick up the phone to answer questions and communicate directly with others.This is NOT a remote position, this is on site for first 90 days in downtown San Francisco. After introductory period it is hybrid 3 days per week in office is required.RESPONSIBILITIESAccurate and timely processes and verify the validity of invoices, receipts, and payment for the organizationEnsures accuracy and responds to payable inquiriesMaintains a wide variety of vendor information (W-9s, ACH, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelinesEnters invoice data into WebiPlex and monitors approval processHandles monthly provider paymentsPrepares vendor payments for payment through BILL ()Maintains vendor information in NetSuite and BILLIs point-of-contact for inquiriesPrepare bi-monthly NetSuite reports for Payroll AccountantPrepares weekly open payable reports for CFOTroubleshoots and provides excellent customer service for staff and vendors with reimbursement, payables, and payment related questionsPerforms duties to maintain all financial records for month and year-end close processes including cost allocation and reporting as neededAssists with year-end financial statement auditCross-trains with other members in the fiscal departmentOther duties and responsibilities as assignedREQUIREMENTSBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, or Business Administration preferredAt least 3 years experience in AP and payment processing and reportingUnderstanding of U.S. GAAP, nonprofit accounting, and general ledger reportingKnowledge and expertise in AP and payment processing and reportingAbility to prioritize and meet multiple deadlines under minimal supervisionAbility to maintain confidential and sensitive informationKnowledge of NetSuite, and DocuPeakKnowledge of Microsoft ExcelAbility to work in a diverse and professional work environmentCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSCompensation Range $35.00 - 37.29 per hourFully paid employee health, dental, and vision.403b with matching contribution after 1 year of service14 holidays15 days of paid vacationGenerous sick leaveLots of opportunities for advancement across the organizationExtensive paid training and professional developmentWu Yee Children’s Services conforms to all the laws, statutes, and regulations concerning Equal Employment Opportunities and Affirmative Action.
