If this mission excites you, we’d be thrilled to hear from you and explore how you might contribute to our journey.Role OverviewWe are seeking a CNC Programmer & Operation Specialist to join our Manufacturing Team and help run our machine park in Sunnyvale. In this hands-on role, you’ll own the full manufacturing process, from programming and setup to inspection and quality control. You’ll collaborate closely with engineers to ensure tight tolerances, rapid turnaround times, and manufacturability improvements. This position plays a key role in enabling fast prototyping and small-scale production of humanoid robot hardware.ResponsibilitiesProgram and operate DMG 5-axis milling and mill-turn CNC machines using CAMWorks, Fusion 360, or Siemens NXPlan and execute machining processes from design files to finished, inspected partsSuggest design improvements for manufacturability and efficiencyPerform accurate part measurements and in-process quality checksMaintain a clean, organized, and safe machine shop environmentCollaborate with engineering teams to deliver daily or next-day turnaround on prototype partsRequirementsProven experience with advanced 5-axis and mill-turn CNC programmingProficiency in a professional CAM system such as CAMWorks, Fusion 360, or Siemens NXStrong understanding of machining tolerances and in-process inspection techniquesExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detailAbility to work full-time on-site and collaborate with a small, focused teamBonus: Experience in high-precision industries such as robotics, aerospace, or medical devicesBenefits & CompensationHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with company matchPaid time off and holidaysEqual Opportunity Employer1X is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
