We are seeking a GTS Corporate Applications Solution Architect to join our GTS Corporate Applications team and partner with our business customers across the Corporate division. In this role, you will identify, shape, and deliver solutions that meet business needs and drive measurable value for Gallagher.As an applications solution architect, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery, standardization, quality, and cost-effectiveness of IT solutions, applications, and services across our business environment. You will build strong relationships with IT and Corporate stakeholders, to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and ensure alignment with Gallagher’s standards and policies. The applications solution architect will have broad knowledge across multiple domains and will work with enterprise and domain architects to align with strategic objectives and coordinate across divisions.You will gain a deep understanding of the organization's current systems and processes, analyze infrastructure, applications, and data, identify areas for improvement, and develop plans to implement scalable, secure solutions that meet stakeholders' needs. You will manage timelines, budgets, and resources, ensure security and compliance, and collaborate with project teams to deliver on time and within budget. You will stay current with technologies and trends and coordinate multiple projects with GTS Corporate Applications managers and Enterprise Architects as needed.ResponsibilitiesUtilize knowledge of Corporate Applications, including Accounting, Finance, Treasury, Procurement, Audit, Compliance, and Legal.Design and implement technical solutions aligned with business requirements and goals.Assess current technical infrastructure and systems to identify improvements and optimization opportunities.Develop technical architectures and roadmaps with recommendations for new technologies, upgrades, and system integrations.Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient; evaluate options to meet organizational needs.Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications.Provide technical guidance to project teams to ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery.Assist business customers in adopting new third-party technology solutions per Gallagher standards.Conduct research and stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation.Troubleshoot technical issues and support resolution of system failures or performance problems.Document architectures, designs, and processes to maintain a knowledge base.Coordinate with other architects to ensure alignment with enterprise architecture; present to SARB when required.Provide overview of current in-house systems and assess viability of incoming applications.Understand the service transition from project to business-as-usual support lifecycle.Govern IT investment across portfolios to ensure compliance with IT strategy, standards, and policies.Demonstrate value of technology to the business and govern solution implementations for security, compliance, and reliability.Promote reuse of existing solutions and adherence to standards to reduce design debt.Contribute to the wider IT agenda as a valued member of the technology ply with internal policies, procedures, laws and Gallagher's shared values; provide status reporting to GTS Corporate Applications Senior Director.About YouRequired8+ years experience as a Corporate Application Architect, including both on-premises and cloud-based applications.Experience in large enterprises with domestic and international locations.Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, systems analysis or related field, or equivalent experience.Previous experience in a Business Analysis/Architecture/Designer environment.Strong strategy and roadmap production skills; excellent analysis and design capabilities.Excellent computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.DesiredExperience working with off-shore or remote development/support teams.Prior Accounting & Finance roadmap experience preferred.Understanding of systems development and project delivery life cycles.Work TraitsExcellent organization skills and attention to detail.Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; fast-paced environment.Strong customer service orientation; good analytical and problem-solving skills.Dependable, professional, self-starter; able to work independently and in teams.U.S. Eligibility RequirementsInterested candidates must submit an application and resume online to be considered.Must be 18 years of age or older; willing to undergo background investigation.Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.Willing to execute Gallagher's Employee Agreement or Confidentiality/Nondisclosure Agreement.Gallagher offers competitive salaries and benefits, including medical/dental/vision plans, life and accident insurance, 401(K), employee stock purchase plan, educational expense reimbursement, EAP, flexible work hours, training programs, matching gifts, and more.Gallagher is an equal opportunity employer.
