OverviewRaytheon’s Advanced Technology (AT) business is seeking an Associate Director, Advanced Technology Requirements & Capabilities (R&C) – Effectors & Space (E&S) Alternate Missions and Space (AMS) to lead business development efforts in a high-priority growth area. The Associate Director will shape and advance strategic pursuits across the Alternate Missions and Space portfolio by identifying new opportunities, building customer relationships, and aligning internal capabilities with mission needs. The Associate Director reports to the AT R&C Director for Effectors and Space.Location: CO109: 16510 E Hughes Drive, Aurora, Building S79, Aurora, CO, 80011 USA. Position Type: Onsite. Security clearance required: TS/SCI – Current. U.S. citizenship required for eligibility for a security clearance.What You Will DoBuild and sustain deep customer intimacy with the DoD and other government agencies, understanding evolving mission needs and satisfaction with Raytheon solutionsDevelop understanding of the customer’s budget landscape, long-term investment priorities, and acquisition strategies; translate insights into actionable guidance for RaytheonGuide and support RTX and Raytheon teams to solve complex customer challenges; deliver timely and impactful solutionsServe as the escalation point for customer-facing issues and deliver exceptional customer service experiencesDrive disciplined Business Development processes across the team, including opportunity identification, shaping, pipeline management, and leading gates and reviewsOversee the development of high-quality customer briefings, capture strategies, proposals, and related artifactsCollect and analyze customer interaction data to forecast future needs and shape strategic pursuitsCollaborate across RTX businesses, Raytheon units, and functional areas to align internal priorities with customer expectationsEnsure timely, transparent communication with the DoD and other agencies across engagements and solicitationsCoordinate internal engagement with the customer, including site visits and executive-level materialsChampion a culture of continuous improvement across the R&C function, using metrics to improve efficiency and engagementCollaborate with RTX Global Government Relations on public policy and development of new technologiesDomestic travel up to 40%Possible work locations: AZ – Tucson; CO – Aurora; AL – Huntsville; VA – DullesQualifications You Must HaveTypically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 12 years Aerospace and Defense experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 10 years of experienceMinimum of 3 years in business development, capture management, or program management within a program office managing space systems, or 3 years in DoD requirements generation, resource sponsors, and/or program management in space systemsExperience working in classified environments including Special Access Required (SAR)Experience leading cross-functional teamsQualifications We PreferAdvanced degree (MBA or STEM-based preferred)Government or Industry Program Management CertificationPrevious business development experience with industry including certified Capture Manager (or equivalent)Ability to be creative, innovative, take initiative, and act with speed and agilityWhat We OfferOur values drive actions and performance: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and InnovationRelocation assistance not availableLearn More & Apply Now!Please consider the role type: Onsite (employees work primarily onsite in production and maintenance roles).Salary range: 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD.
