OverviewLand Acquisition Project Manager at Intersect. Lead land acquisition for large-scale renewable energy projects, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders to align acquisition with permitting, financing, and construction. Build strong relationships with landowners, community groups, and third-party land agents to move projects forward while fostering goodwill in the regions where we operate.What You’ll DoDrive Land Acquisition StrategyLead site control campaigns across multiple projects, negotiating and managing leases, purchases, easements, and surface waiversOversee third-party land agents to execute acquisition strategies effectively and on scheduleResearch mineral ownership and initiate surface waiver campaigns to clear title and development obstaclesEnsure Project ReadinessResolve title and survey matters to support financing and constructionMaintain land acquisition trackers and provide clear progress reporting across the organizationPrepare and manage acquisition budgets, ensuring alignment with project needsBuild Stakeholder RelationshipsEngage with landowners and community groups to foster trust and long-term relationshipsWork with Development and Permitting teams to align land acquisition with permitting timelines and constraintsCollaborate with internal stakeholders including Legal and Finance to close site control agreements efficientlySupport Long-Term GrowthProvide ongoing expertise to the Head of Land and the broader Development teamInfluence counterparties to meet deadlines and project schedulesContribute to advancing land acquisition best practices for renewable energy development at scaleWhat You’ll BringA bachelor’s degree in real estate management, finance, economics, or a related field—or equivalent experience5+ years of real estate development or acquisition experience, with at least 3 years closing renewable energy land transactions (fee acquisitions, option exercises, leases, etc.)Strong knowledge of standard land acquisition terms across multiple markets for solar and/or wind projectsExperience with mineral rights research and acquisition of surface right waivers or related agreementsProven negotiation skills for complex real estate agreementsExcellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence and move deals forwardIndependent, self-directed work style; able to succeed in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentsFamiliarity with land and environmental law, policy, and mineral interestsProficiency with Google Earth and GIS softwareExperience working with local, state, and federal agencies is a plusWillingness to travel up to 35% to project sites and stakeholder meetingsPassion for renewable energy development and building lasting partnerships with landownersTotal RewardsCompensation: USD $185,000-$195,000 (base salary + bonus)Health & wellness: 100% premium coverage for you and your dependents on medical, dental, and visionTime to recharge: Unlimited PTO plus two company-wide breaksFamily support: Up to 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave, plus additional weeks for birth parents; family planning support via CarrotMental health: Free access to Ginger coaching and counseling, plus HeadspaceRetirement: 3% non-elective employer contribution to 401k or RRSPPerks: $150 monthly food stipend, pet insurance allowance, and full home office setupSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionProject Management and Information TechnologyIndustriesTechnology, Information and Internet #J-18808-Ljbffr
