OverviewRole: RF Engineer / IBW ConsultantClient: DC GovernmentLocation: Washington, DC (Onsite)ResponsibilitiesProvides assessments of technical and operational practices associated with upgrades and system changes based on leading industry standards specific to the requested technology.Provides analysis related to the design, development, and implementation of IT hardware products.Develops test strategies, devices, and systems.Performs stress and performance tests on a variety of computer hardware including circuit boards, processors, and wiring.Provide IT Department support services including System and Radio Technology, Dispatch Operations, network system support and operations, subscriber radio and maintenance and support, and all other agency applications.Provide IT Support for Mobile Routers and Tablets/Toughbooks: imaging, configuration, installation, minor repairs, software updates and installation, router performance reports and bi-annual maintenance; MPS and CAD user administration; execute major deployment plans for FEMS and MPD; coordinate firewall requirements with OCTO for additional agency software as required.Provide IT support for MVPN-NetMotion, including connectivity monitoring and reporting, software updates, performance reporting and troubleshooting; diagnostic coverage analysis.Provide IT support for System and Network Infrastructure, including monitor alarms and escalations.Day to Day TasksSupport MPD (Police) radio update and tracking effortsSupport various capital project tasks associated with radio system infrastructure, subscriber deployment, DAS systems performance monitoring and interference resolution, and the testing and acceptance of OUC projects associated with DAS and radio systems infrastructureSupport / complete agency radio programming requestsManage / coordinate radio encryption and OTAR upgradesDevelop radio training material for internal and external usersDevelop technical guidelines for radio usePerform field surveys of new and existing BDA installationsTroubleshoot IBW network interference issuesInvestigate IBW network coverage issueSupport OUC radio operationsProvide IT support for Mobile routers and Panasonic toughbooks #J-18808-Ljbffr
