In this vital role, you will ensure safe and reliable transportation for adults with disabilities, helping them access homes, workplaces, and recreational activities. By driving a company-provided vehicle, you facilitate mobility and support our participants' independence and participation in the community. Your commitment to punctuality and safety, coupled with effective coordination with our management team, will make a significant difference in the lives of many.The RoleProvide timely transportation for scheduled runs, ensuring punctuality and reliabilityConduct pickups and deliveries of clients, products, and suppliesAdhere to Emergency Safety, Transportation Procedure Manuals, and Transportation Policy and ProceduresMaintain and inspect the assigned vehicle to ensure it is clean and in good working conditionManage daily transportation logistics and support departmental planningAssist in annual safety inspections and participate in required trainingSupport special events, which may require additional days or hoursQualificationsMust be 21 years of age or olderHigh school diploma or equivalentMust hold a valid driver's license with no moving violations for the previous 12 months and provide proof of insuranceCompletion of PACE certification within 120 days of employmentPhysically capable of performing tasks that require bending, lifting, and walking, with the ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds to manage mobility aids and assist participantsEffective communication skills and the ability to work patiently with adults with disabilitiesExperience in a transportation role, such as school bus driving, is preferredProficiency in writing, speaking, and understanding EnglishProficiency in basic computer skills, including accurate typing, navigating websites, entering and recalling data, using word processors and spreadsheet software, managing emails, and familiarity with digital communication etiquette and techniques
