Material Handler

Operates an electric powered tugger/ forklift to load / unload correct components onto a cart and take to each assigned assembly line or put away in racks. Moves correct components to and from designated storage areas safely. Bring back any empty returnable totes and stack them on the designated return skid outside of the component cage.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for 5S (Sort, Shine, Set in Order, Standardize, and Sustain)Responsible for KANBAN cards and locationsAny missing KANBAN cards are to be reported to Supervisor or Team Lead dailyVerify part number and quantity vs JDE labelUnderstand that the component cage and racks are a controlled areaAssist with tote breakdown, skids, and basketsCommunication with rack & cage personnel for needed partsCommunication during shift change about pertinent informationMaintaining correct stock levels on assembly linesAny other duties assigned by team leader or supervisorREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES: 6 months experience in a manufacturing environmentPrior experience driving tugger/forklift preferredExcellent verbal & written communications skillsGood problem solving skillsHigh School Diploma
