Job specificationCandidate requirementsJob specification Lead and oversee nursing staff in the surgical unit, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to best practices. Coordinate and manage patient care activities, ensuring safe, high-quality, and patient-centered surgical services. Act as a clinical resource and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance, support, and training. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state regulations, and accreditation standards related to surgical services. Monitor and maintain surgical equipment, supplies, and overall unit organization to facilitate seamless operations. Candidate requirements A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required; a Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or a related field is preferred. Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Oregon. Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience in surgery, with at least 3 years in a leadership or charge nurse role. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required. Certification in Perioperative Nursing (CNOR) is preferred.
