Class Summary Job Description The Customer Service Associate II performs professional level assistance to the public in person, over the phone, or through email, assisting in maintaining the security and confidentiality of applicable information, analyzing, rejecting or approving reports, as well as assisting other law enforcement agencies with obtaining Sheriff's office reports. Essential Duties * Video viewing and redacting * Assisting with gathering documents for open record requests * Maintaining paper and electronic logs * Preparing items for storage, or destruction Knowledge of * Applicable laws, rules, and regulations as they apply to records management * Customer service principles and Research principles * General office procedures * Open Records Act * Billing procedures * Applicable federal, state and local laws, rules and regulations Public Speaking Duties * Communication * Interpersonal skills demonstrated through effective interaction coworkers, supervisors, and the general public * Sufficient skills to exchange information and accurately receive direction Other Job Requirements/Information * This job requires a public safety background which may include motor vehicle & criminal histories and fingerprinting. Grade The grade for this position is B221. Minimum Qualifications * High School Diploma or G.E.D. * Three years of customer service experience to include one year in an office setting * An equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above will also be considered * Valid Driver's License Preferred Qualifications in addition to the above minimum qualifications * Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations applicable to records management * Knowledge of Georgia Open Records Act For information related to position-specific essential duties, knowledge and skills, and physical requirements, pleaseclick here.
