About the job Data Entry Operator / Typist (Remote) Duties may include fielding telephone calls, receiving and directing visitors, word processing, creating spreadsheets and presentations, filing, and packaging of client payrolls. Extensive software skills are required, as well as Internet research abilities and strong communication skills.What will you be doing?Prepare, compile and sort documents for accuracyCheck source documents for accuracyVerify data and correct data when necessaryObtain further information for incomplete documentsUpdate data and delete unnecessary filesCombine and rearrange data from source documents where requiredEnter data from source documents into prescribed computer database, files and formsTranscribe information into required electronic formatScan documents into document management systems or databasesCheck completed work for accuracyStore completed documents in designated locationsMaintain log books or records of activities and tasksRespond to requests for information and access relevant filesPrint information when requiredComply with data integrity and security policiesMaintain own office equipment and stationery suppliesWhat are the requirements?Customer-service oriented with excellent phone mannersGeneral office skillsProficient in Windows PC/Google environment with accurate data entry / keyboarding skillsDetail orientated, with ability to focus on numerical dataAbility to work under time constraints and meet schedules: at times with unexpected deadlinesAbility to multitaskAbility to do light liftingBilingual preferred but not requiredEducation/ExperienceHigh School Education with minimum of 1 year office experiencePrevious administrative/office management experience preferredKnowledge of payroll industry helpful, but not necessaryProficient in Windows PC environment with accurate data entry/keyboarding skills-Or- an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
