Private Nanny

Job DescriptionA loving family in Herndon, Virginia, is seeking a trustworthy and reliable permanent nanny to care for their two children, a three-year-old and six-month-old, starting in August. They need coverage for three days per week (flexible on which days), from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM.Responsibilities:• Provide attentive and nurturing care for both children, ensuring their safety and well-being.• Engage the three-year-old in fun, developmentally appropriate activities and encourage independent play.• Care for a six-month old baby, including feeding, diaper changes, and naps.• Transport the children as needed (a family vehicle will be provided for this).• Assist with light child-related household tasks, such as tidying play areas and preparing simple meals/snacks.• Drop off and pick up three-year-olds from preschool as needed. She attends a half day program.• Follow the family's gentle parenting approach, which includes firm boundaries and loss of privileges if misbehaving.• Communicate openly with parents, including when they are working from home.Requirements:• Previous experience caring for babies and toddlers that is verifiable by references.• A clean driving record and a valid driver's license.• Reliable personal transportation to get to the family's home.• Comfortable working in a home where a parent may be present.• Must be pet friendly. Family has a dog.• Must pass a background check• Must be (or willing to become) CPR/1st Aid CertifiedCompensation:• $24-$25 based on experience.• Guaranteed weekly hours
