Academy Bus is seeking a full-time Diesel Mechanic-Road Service-Class A to cover territory around Jacksonville, FL. The Diesel Mechanic will be assigned to drive a service truck.Pay is $33.00-$42.00 per hour with a $2500 Sign On Bonus!Shift: 3:00pm- 11:30pmHealth Insurance and Benefits Offered Include:Medical, Dental, Vision, Prescription, and Life insuranceSupplemental coverages401K planPaid time offPaid holidaysResponsibilities: Senior Bus Field Service Mechanic - Class ARepair, troubleshooting and diagnosis of modern tour busesReconditioning, preventative and routine maintenanceInspections and road testsWarranty and repair documentationDiagnosis, inspection, installation, disassembly and cleaning of components such as: brakes, suspension, tires, bearings, seals, radiators, water pumps, coolant hoses, alternators, regulators, steering components, oil/air filters, door assemblies, controls, seats, belts, electric motors, pneumatic valves, cables, and linkages.Respond to road callsBasic welding/fabricationTrain/supervise C Level MechanicsRequirements:7 years of diesel engine maintenanceMust have own toolsProven ability to use hands tools, power tools, hydraulic jacks, welding equipment, and testing instrumentsValid Class B CDL licenseBasic computer skillsAcademy is EEO.
