Chief Estimator

We are a nationally recognized design and construction firm specializing in complex, high-performance facilities across the Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, and advanced technology sectors. We are seeking a Chief Estimator to lead our estimating strategy and execution across the organization. Responsibilities: + Develop and implement standardized estimating processes and tools to improve consistency and competitiveness. + Lead and mentor a high-performing estimating team across multiple regions. + Ensure proper staffing, training, and career development for estimating personnel. + Act as a senior resource for conceptual and detailed estimates, especially for Life Sciences and Food & Beverage projects. + Support scope development, bid analysis, and risk reviews throughout the project lifecycle. + Collaborate with office leaders, operations directors, and construction teams to align estimating deliverables with project goals. + Promote a culture of cost awareness, proactive planning, and continuous improvement. + Drive innovation in estimating workflows using technology and data to enhance accuracy and efficiency. + Own the annual estimating business plan, including departmental budgets and software procurement. + Participate in corporate and regional risk reviews to ensure alignment with project risk profiles and business objectives. Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. + 15+ years of experience in the AEC industry with a strong focus on estimating. + Proven leadership in managing cross-functional estimating teams. + Extensive experience in Life Sciences, Food & Beverage, and advanced technology projects. + Strong conceptual and detailed estimating skills, including quantity take-offs and cost modeling. + Familiarity with project logistics, scheduling, and lifecycle planning. + Proficient in estimating software (e.g., Sage Estimating, OnScreen Takeoff) and Microsoft Office Suite. + Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills. + Experience with Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and LEAN construction practices is a plus. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $170000.00 - $220000.00/yr.
