Patient Transporter - Hospital Setting Pay: $23/hr. Schedule: Flexible availability required (anticipated shift: 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM) Location: Oxnard, CA About the Role We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Patient Transporter to join our healthcare team. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and comfortable movement of patients throughout the hospital, supporting both clinical operations and exceptional patient care. Key Responsibilities + Safely transport patients to and from various hospital departments including diagnostic and treatment areas. + Assist patients with entering and exiting wheelchairs, stretchers, and beds. + Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, families, and healthcare staff. + Maintain cleanliness and functionality of transport equipment. + Adhere to hospital policies regarding patient safety, confidentiality, and infection control. + Respond promptly to transport requests and prioritize tasks effectively. + Support the movement of medical equipment and supplies when needed. Qualifications & Skills Required: + Active EMT or CNA license (must be current and in good standing). + Previous experience in patient transport or a similar healthcare role. + Strong interpersonal and communication skills. + Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. + Excellent customer service and teamwork abilities. + Physical capability to lift and move patients safely. + Familiarity with hospital safety and infection control procedures. Preferred: + Experience handling medical devices and healthcare materials. + Proven ability to collaborate within a team-oriented environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
