Position OverviewThe Trust & Estate Tax Manager will oversee the tax compliance and planning for trust and estate clients, ensuring adherence to all tax regulations while providing exceptional service and strategic advice. This role is critical in helping clients navigate the complexities of tax obligations related to trusts and estates, and will require a strong understanding of relevant tax laws and regulations.Key ResponsibilitiesManage and review the preparation of federal and state estate tax returns (706) and trust income tax returns (1041) for various clients.Perform tax research and develop strategies for tax planning related to trusts and estates.Lead and mentor a team of tax professionals in public accounting, providing guidance on trust and estate tax issues.Review and approve tax returns and related documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws.Advise clients on tax implications of estate planning decisions and transactions involving trusts.Coordinate with estate planning attorneys to ensure comprehensive tax strategies are implemented for clients.Utilize tax software such as CCH Axcess and QuickBooks to streamline tax preparation processes.QualificationsCPA or EA certification is preferred, but not required.A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax compliance and planning, specifically with trusts and estates.Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws related to trusts and estates, including estate and gift tax regulations.Experience in public accounting with a focus on trust and estate tax services.Proficient in tax research and utilizing resources to provide informed tax advice.Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to client service.BenefitsBase Salary: $120,000 - $180,000Work Weeks based on 37.5 hours schedule - anything over is OT (for true-up)401k Match 5%Employee paid insurance 100% Anthem coverage multiple plans w/ HSA availableDependents at employee's expense$50k Life Insurance Policy on all employees4 weeks PTOUnlimited sick daysGood working culture.
