Position Overview: We are seeking dependable, flexible, and mission-aligned substitute teachers to support students in grades PreK through 8. Substitute teachers ensure a safe, engaging, and productive learning environment in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. Responsibilities: Implement lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher Maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment Follow school routines and procedures to ensure consistency and safety Communicate any concerns, feedback, or noteworthy events to the administration Demonstrate professionalism and uphold the Catholic values of our school Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, lunch, and recess Qualifications: Valid Indiana Substitute Permit or Indiana Teaching License Completion of all Diocese of Gary Safe Environment requirements, including VIRTUS training and background check Reliable, adaptable, and able to manage multiple grade levels Passionate about working with children in a Christ-centered educational environment How to Apply: Interested applicants should complete the application on Applitrack.
