Job Description

The Accounting Coordinator serves as a key support role responsible for managing treasury operations, cash management functions, and related financial processes. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, this position plays a vital role in maintaining the organization's financial operations and optimizing cash flow managementPerform bank reconciliations for all operating accounts, including general operating, payroll, and event-specific accountsReconcile daily cash receipts from multiple revenue streams including ticket sales, concessions, merchandise, and parkingMatch daily deposit totals to point-of-sale systems, ticketing platforms, and third-party payment processorsInvestigate and resolve cash variances, working with venue operations and ticket operations teams to identify discrepanciesReconcile credit card processing fees and chargebacks across multiple merchant accountsReconcile cash collections from corporate partnerships and suite rentalsProcess and reconcile wire transfers, ACH payments, and electronic fund transfersPrepare weekly and monthly cash flow reports and cash position summaries for managementSupport month-end revenue cutoff procedures and ensure proper period-end accruals for salesMaintain documentation for audit purposes and support external auditor requests related to revenue recognitionSupport special projects related to cash management system implementations and process improvementsRequirements:EducationHigh School Diploma required.Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferredExperience:0-3 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Treasury operations; CPA certification and sports industry experience preferredStrong understanding of cash management principles and banking operationsProficiency in Excel and financial systems; experience with NetSuite GL preferredExperience with banking products and payment systemsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detailAbility to work efficiently under pressure and meet tight deadlinesExcellent organizational and time management skillsStrong communication skills with ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external banking partnersHigh level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial informationPhysical Requirements and Working ConditionsIn-office position based in a corporate environment with individual workspaces and shared common areasStrong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and stakeholders, along with active listening abilities to understand and respond appropriately to diverse audiences in both individual and group settingsWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, age, disability, gender identity, marital or veteran status, or any other protected class.
