Senior Accountant

Century Group is excited to share a great opportunity for a Senior Accountant position for one of our client's in the real estate industry! Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $95,000 to $125,000 per year. Job Responsibilities : Close monthly GAAP and tax basis accounting for assigned commercial real estate and management/fund entities Ensure monthly books are reconciled and closed on an accurate and timely basis Ensure monthly operating activity is in line with budget, investigate and understand significant variances 2 Work with Controller and/or Assistant Controller to prepare annual financial statements which will be audited by company's external auditors Prepare monthly bank account reconciliations Assist in the interim, quarters and year-end audit or review process, which will include providing requisite PBCs to company's external auditors Maintain and ensure internal controls are operating effectively Calculates and records appropriate depreciation and amortization of fixed assets, tenant improvements, and leasing commissions Requirements: Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Able to communicate with professionals at all levels Able to communicate complex information to a variety of audiences Experience: 2-5 years of real estate or financial accounting experience or general ledger responsibilities for partnership entities in a private equity/investment firm is preferred Knowledge of US GAAP Experience with Yardi Voyager enterprise accounting system preferred Strong MS computer skills (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) required REF #44533 #LI-POST#Ind-WC
