Our client is looking for a Senior Tax Accountant, with rapid advancement to Tax Manager in a Partner-Track Program. Responsibilities:Utilize professional expertise in tax and (limited) audit engagements.Gain exposure to various tax strategies across corporate, partnership, and personal returns.Collaborate directly with owners, CEOs, and controllers to meet client needs.Review and produce tax returns, interpreting complex financial and tax data accurately.Provide consulting on accounting policies and procedures, offering guidance to junior staff.Proactively identify tax and accounting issues, proposing effective resolution strategies.Prepare financial and tax projections, develop tax strategies, and ensure accurate filings.Represent clients in IRS audits, collaborating with partners for effective representation.Manage one or two audits, supervise fieldwork, and prepare financial statements and disclosures.Direct, train, and mentor staff on tax and audit projects, assessing their performance.Qualifications:Strong desire to progress to a partner role in a boutique tax practice.CPA license (attestation level) or chartered accountant with at least 2 years post-licensure experience.Minimum of 4 years in tax work, accounting, financial analysis, or relevant fields.Solid understanding of accounting and auditing principles (GAAP, GAAS, SSARS).Proficiency in researching tax rules, accounting practices, and audit procedures using online resources.Advanced skills in Prosystems, QuickBooks, Excel, and online research tools (IRS law libraries, BNA/CCH).Strong computer skills across Microsoft Office Suite, time and billing software, etc.Detail-oriented with a commitment to error-free work and disciplined documentation.Salary: Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location.
