Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Maintenance Technician Location: Rochester, NY Summary: Nesco Resource is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and electrical equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role also supports general facility and HVAC maintenance and is essential for maintaining smooth production operations and facility reliability. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm, non-exempt position offering competitive pay and opportunities for overtime. Shift & Pay: Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (with OT available until 1:00 AM) Pay: $32 - $35 per hour, based on experience Core Duties & Responsibilities: Maintain and repair production machinery and facility systems. Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime. Install and set up new equipment as needed. Read and interpret equipment manuals, blueprints, and electrical schematics. Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on equipment and systems. Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation. Prioritize and complete daily maintenance work orders. Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, standards, and regulations. Support general facility and HVAC maintenance as required. Qualifications & Skills: High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or electrician certificate is a plus. Minimum of 3 years of industrial maintenance experience. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. Ability to read schematics and equipment manuals. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as climbing, bending, and standing for extended periods. Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed. Work Environment & Physical Demands: Manufacturing and maintenance environment with exposure to machinery, tools, and electrical systems. Physical role requiring mobility, lifting, and safe operation of maintenance tools and equipment. May involve work in varying temperatures or around noisy equipment.
