Warehouse Associate- Night

4 DAY WORKWEEK (candidates with standing forklift experience or Order picker experience will be given fast track interview priority)ROLE OVERVIEW:This position is responsible for selecting product and loading orders onto appropriate trucks. This position requires a high degree of accuracy and a sense of urgency, while meeting safe operating standards according to Tryon's established guidelines.ABOUT THE ROLE:DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Moving product from shelving to pallet jack or vice versaMoving and placing product on the automatic conveyer belt systemStraightening product on shelf or in bin locationsPicking ordersReading instructionsBeing aware of potential safety hazards, such as moving forklifts and other power equipmentOperating forklifts and other power equipmentOther duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONS:REQUIREDMust be 18 or olderAbility to lift up to 175 lbsMust be a team player and work well under minimum supervisionKnowledge of safe work practicesAbility to work in a warehouse environment in all types of weatherAbility to work required shift as definedAvailable to work overtime as neededAbility to work within tight time constraints in a fast-paced environmentPREFERREDHigh School Diploma or GEDPrior warehouse or distribution center experiencePrior experience or certification on power equipment (forklift, pallet jack, reach truck)WORKING CONDITIONS:The employee will primarily perform work in these areas:WarehouseThe noise level in these areas is normally moderate.WHY WORK FOR TRYON? ~ WE'RE PRETTY AWESOMECOMPANY OVERVIEW:Tryon Distributing is North Carolina's premier wholesale distributor of domestic and import wines and beers.
