Job Title: Mechanical Product Engineer Job Description We are seeking an experienced and innovative Product Mechanical Engineer to lead and enhance our product line with engineering excellence. This role requires collaboration with various departments to support product development and lifecycle management, while driving continuous product improvement and cost optimization. Responsibilities * Serve as the technical lead for assigned product line(s), ensuring engineering excellence and innovation. * Collaborate with Production, Purchasing, Sales, and Technical Services to support product development and lifecycle management. * Drive product enhancements and resolve quality issues through the Continuous Product Improvement (CPI) process. * Create and approve Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) for product updates and engineering releases. * Implement standardized solutions across product models with component/system leads and other Product Engineers. * Perform and validate engineering calculations to ensure product compliance with design requirements. * Lead initiatives focused on cost reduction and assembly process optimization. * Supervise and mentor a team of design engineers, assigning tasks and ensuring project milestones are met. * Engage and coordinate with remote teams and contractors as needed. * Conduct site visits to mining operations to gather application insights and customer feedback. * Maintain and update product line options and configuration documentation. * Ensure all engineering activities align with safety management programs. Essential Skills * Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. * Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering or a similar role. * Strong knowledge of mobile industrial equipment; experience with drilling equipment is a plus. * Proficient in CAD software (e.g., UG/NX, MEDUSA). * Experience with Product Data Management (PDM) systems such as TeamCenter. * Familiarity with machine steel fabrications, manufacturing techniques, and assembly tools for bolted and welded components. * Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills. * Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams effectively. * Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Experience in mechanical design and product engineering. * Familiarity with sheet metal and rotating equipment. * Proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD. * Experience in new product development and design release. Work Environment This role involves working with cutting-edge CAD software and PDM systems, focusing on innovation and excellence in product engineering. The position requires regular collaboration with diverse teams and may include site visits to gather insights and feedback. The work environment emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.68/hr.
