Century Group is working with a well known retail client south of the Denver metro area. Our client is in need of a strong Payroll Specialist who eventually wants to go into a management position. Local candidates only. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary between $55,000 to 68,000 per year. Position: Payroll and Benefits AdministratorEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPayroll Administration:Ensure accurate and timely processing of bi-weekly payrollReview and approve W2 and direct depositsCollaborate with the HR team to ensure correct benefit deductions.Audit monthly employer and employee benefit deductions by location.Act as the primary point of contact for employees regarding payroll inquiries and concerns.Benefits Administration:Retrieve daily reports from the benefits portal and enter employee benefit deductionsAdditional Responsibilities:Support HR team with various department projects and initiatives.Contribute recommendations for maintaining employee policies, procedures, and practices.Assist with recruiting and benefits duties.Perform other related duties as required or assigned.Requirements:Thorough knowledge of HR and payroll laws and best practices.Familiarity with benefits administration.Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address potential issues.Strong understanding of record-keeping and reporting best practices.Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring compliance with critical payroll deadlines.Proficiency in mathematical calculations.Organizational and analytical skills.Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and ethical integrity.Effective communication and collaboration with cross-functional groups across the organization.Customer-service focus with a sense of urgency, maintaining accuracy.Ability to communicate effectively with internal customers (employees), management, and external vendorsEducation and Experience:Bachelor's degree in HR, Accounting, or related field (Preferred).Relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.3+ years of hands-on payroll administration (Required).Experience in Ceridian Dayforce (Preferred).Multi-State payroll experience (Preferred).REF 47072 #LI-POST#ZR
