General Statement of Duties This vacancy is open until filled. Temporary position. Cannot exceed 29 hours per week. Tutor will work with small groups of students on targeted remediation. Essential Duties Use and evaluate instructional materials and resources, including technology, that support the curriculum. Plan instructional activities for students Assess and maintain records of students' progress Utilize a variety of instructional strategies in order to promote student success Provide individual and small group remediation Encourage students by giving positive feedback and support Use instructional resources that are researched based and identified as best practices Use a comprehensive collection of quick-check formative assessments that can be used to identify areas of need Model and demonstrate that reading and writing are pleasurable and valuable activities Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree is required.
