The franchisee is a separate company and a separate employer from Marriott International, Inc. The franchisee solely controls all aspects of the hotel's employment policies and practices, including hiring, firing, discipline, staffing, compensation, benefits, and all other terms and conditions of employment. If you accept a position at this hotel, you will be employed by a franchisee and not by Marriott International, Inc. Position Overview The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the hotel's daily operations, financial performance, guest satisfaction, and team development at SpringHill Suites. This role ensures the property consistently delivers exceptional service while achieving revenue, profitability, and brand compliance goals. The General Manager will provide strategic leadership, foster a positive work culture, and maintain the highest standards of hospitality. Operations & Guest Experience Lead and manage all hotel operations, ensuring smooth and efficient daily functions across front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, sales, and maintenance. Ensure compliance with SpringHill Suites and Marriott brand standards, policies, and procedures. Monitor guest satisfaction scores and implement strategies to enhance the guest experience. Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally. Financial & Business Performance Prepare and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and monthly financial reports. Drive revenue by implementing effective sales and marketing strategies in collaboration with the sales team. Control expenses while maintaining high levels of service and product quality. Monitor performance metrics including RevPAR, occupancy, ADR, GOP, and labor costs. Leadership & Team Development Recruit, hire, train, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and service excellence. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching to team members. Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies. Sales & Community Engagement Support proactive sales efforts to maximize market share and hotel visibility. Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, community organizations, and key stakeholders. Represent the property at industry and networking events as needed. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3-5 years of hotel management experience, with prior General Manager or Assistant General Manager experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of Marriott systems (MARSHA, CI/TY, FOSSE, or equivalent) preferred. Proven track record of driving financial performance and guest satisfaction. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as business requires.
