Job Description

A health and wellness company in the Baltimore County area seeks a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist on a temporary (8-12 weeks) basis Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests. Match purchase orders, contracts, and receiving documents to invoices. Enter and maintain accurate vendor information in the accounting system. Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers. Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies. Communicate with vendors and internal departments to address billing or payment issues. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Maintain proper documentation and filing systems for accounts payable records. Support audits by providing required documentation and reports. Monitor accounts to ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures. Qualifications 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, QuickBooks) and MS Excel. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Strong communication and problem-solving abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
