In order to be considered for this role, after clicking "Apply Now" above and being redirected, you must fully complete the application process on the follow-up screen.OverviewThe Scorekeeper & Arena Attendant position reports directly to the Hockey Program Manager and while scorekeeping is responsible for operating the scoreboard and tracking and recording goals, shots, and penalties on a paper or online scoresheet during hockey league games. In addition, scorekeepers are expected to use a supplied tablet to play music at stoppages in play and between games. The scorekeeper will also be required to work alongside our ice resurfacing team by moving the nets for ice cuts following each game. Arena attendant shifts will be responsible for monitoring and assisting customers, ensures a safe skating manner, along with issuing skates and advising proper fit/size. This position will interact with parents, players, guests, coaches, referees, hockey directors and team captains and requires the ability to communicate with a focus on delivering a world class hockey and skating experience.This role will pay an hourly rate of $15.00-17.00 Benefits for Part-Time roles: 401(k) Savings Plan and 401(k) matchingThis position will remain open until October 10, 2025.ResponsibilitiesUse of control board for scoreboardCommunicate with the on ice officials to start, operate, and record a hockey gameMaintain a legible, concise, and accurate scoresheetProvide accurate stats to league statisticianCheck players in by number and/or name on the scoresheetAssist our ice resurfacing team by moving the nets for ice cuts following each gameInspect and evaluate the physical condition of areaPositively interacts with all departments: Referees, Players, Coworkers and guests of the facilityAppropriately safeguard company property, access, and assetsMonitor and assist skating customersServe as first point of contact in case of injuryIneracts and welcomes customers, issues skates, advises proper fit and lacing techniques Other duties as assignedQualificationsWilling to work nights, weekends, and holidaysHave reliable transportation Ability to skate is recommended, but not required (for arena attendant shifts only)Displays self-motivation and ability to work unsupervisedWilling to serve as the off ice official for hockey gamesGeneral knowledge of hockeyDemonstrates sound judgment and interpersonal skillsDemonstrates excellent written and verbal communicationProven job reliability, diligence, dedication and attention to detailPossess a strong understanding for the importance of job executionAbility to use a phone or tablet to play music and enter an online scoresheet
