Project Director - Data CenterPosition Overview The Project Director - Data Center is responsible for overseeing all phases of data center construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a deep understanding of data center infrastructure, construction processes, and project management methodologies, as well as strong leadership skills to manage teams and stakeholders effectively.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage data center construction projects from inception to completion.Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, budget, and timeline.Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to ensure successful project execution.Implement Building Information Modeling (BIM) for effective project planning and management.Utilize project management software such as CMiC and P6 for tracking progress and reporting.Oversee the integration of liquid cooling systems and other mission-critical infrastructure.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards throughout the project lifecycle.Conduct training and development sessions for project teams to enhance skills and knowledge in data center operations.Collaborate with cloud service providers like AWS, Meta, and Google to align project goals with industry standards and requirements.Foster relationships with stakeholders and communicate project status effectively to senior management.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.10+ years of experience in project management within the data center or construction industry.Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale construction projects.Expertise in Building Information Modeling (BIM) and project management software (CMiC, P6).Strong knowledge of data center operations, cloud-based systems, and mission-critical infrastructure.Experience with liquid cooling systems and hyper-scale data center environments.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
