Material Handler

Department: Assembly Production Reports To: Assembly Supervisor FLSA Status: Non- Exempt Summary of Job Duties: To support the production floor to prevent downtime for waiting on parts such as raw materials or finished goods to be taken from or delivered to the cell. Detailed Job Description: The following job functions are not all-inclusive. The employee will be required to perform other job-related tasks and responsibilities as requested by Plant Manager or General Manager Duties: * Moving dunnage containers to and from work cells * Dump scrap hoppers * Move raw material to work cell * Move finished goods to the proper location * Keeping the warehouse neat and orderly * Maximize loads and minimize wasteful movements of material * Reform additional duties as assigned * Comply with all safety procedures * Fill out fork truck check sheets daily * Need to be organized and neat * Able to follow all Safety and Quality policies and procedures * Must be able to operate equipment in a manufacturing environment safely * Must be able to read, write and speak English * Must be able to work overtime when needed Skills/QualificationsSource: U.S. Department of Labor Bureau of Labor Statistics skills / QualificationsS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED required Able to use basic mathematical and writing skills Able to obtain certification for Forklift Driving B-shift 6:00PM- 2:30AM
